Raizada Mansion was was fully decorated in a glamorous manner with best flowers and lights; the living room decorated with white and pink roses and drapes, and fairy lights place above the small stage. People were running here and there checking the arrangements. The family was very much enthusiastic for this day. After all today was the engagement ceremony of their elder son Arnav Singh Raizada and after 5 days his marriage. Anjali had no time to talk to anyone today. She was all busy in checking the sweets ordered and selecting the Gifts for the guests. Arnav came to her.
Arnav " Di, take some rest "
Anjali " No Chote. I have no time to take rest.I want everything perfect for your engagement"
Arnav " Di relax, everything is perfect "
Anjali " Chote you don't know how happy I'm today. After all today my long lost dream yours getting married would come true " kissed his forehead " Now go ready. Aman went to take Khushi and your Khushi will be here soon "

Madhu took Khushi to the most famous Spa of Delhi as per Arnav's instruction. Khushi was given royal treatment since morning. First she given princess bath with rose and milk; then pedicure, manicure and facial. Now she was sitting on plush chair wearing Gold and orange triple layered lehenga designed by Arnav with exquisite diamond jewelry. Two girls painted her nails and toes in gold and orange shaded matching the colour with her lehenga; one girl putting a light blush-on on her already flushed cheek and did golden and brown smoky eye makeup with putting mascara and kajal around her eyes to make it more prominent and red lipstick her plump lips; one girl tied her long black hair in super stylish low side chignon and to show it more charming she added twisted side sweeps.
After sometimes Madhu came there to inform about Aman's arrival " My my ASR gona have a hard time keeping his eyes of you, Khush " in teasing tone making Khushi blush " Lets go "
Khushi nodded her head and both of them left the Spa and sat on backseats in car while Aman sitting on frontseats with driver. After half of an hour of journey they reached to Raizada Mansion. Madhu got down of the car while Aman opened Khushi's side door and helped her to get down. She sighed seeing no media person there.
The Raizadas were already present at the door to welcome Khushi. Khushi was very much impressed by the decorations they had done for the Engagement.
Anjali "Oh my God Khushi you are looking very beautiful today. Chotte toh aaj gaye " making Khushi blush " ab itna blush kar rahi ho toh don't know what you will do after seeing Chote " teasing tone; put kala tika behind Khushi's ear " Devi Maiya keeps evil eyes away from you "
Madhu "Di this tika will only safeguard her from others but I dont know if it will safeguard her from ASR's eyes or not " teasing
Anjali " Ohh Madhu itna tease kar maat meri Bhabi ko you're also looking so pretty in this lehenga I am sure Aman can't take his eyes off you " making Madhu blush
Khushi " Di, you also looking pretty in this saree "
They were talking about random things. Suddenly they were interrupted by Guptas. Madhu and Anjali both irritated seeing Payal in most revealing lehenga. Anjali politely greeted Guptas and excused herself on pretext to call Arnav. Madhu kept Khushi busy in their conversation. Soon all the guest started arrived. Nani and Mami greeted Guptas and took Khushi around to introduce her to the guests; most of them were their close relatives and friends; all were praising Khushi's beauty. At first she was feeling very odd and uncomfortable conversing with them but soon she found enjoying herself mingling with them.
Khushi was talking with the guests when suddenly she felt the air around her changing; her heart was thudding fast. She turned towards the stairs and saw Arnav coming down accompanied by Anjali and Akash. He was looking deadly handsome in his black 3 piece suit with white shirt and golden tie to complement with her lehenga.
Arnav felt someone's gaze on his and look at the direction to see Khushi looking at him. He had a lopsided smile on his face seeing Khushi checking him out. Seeing caught by him Khushi blushed and looked down. She was looking breathtakingly beautiful in three layered orange and gold lehenga choli adorned with elaborate embroidery in zari and sequin work, which he had selected for her from his own private collection of designs. He had never seen anyone else do more justice to an Arnav Singh Raizada creation other than Khushi. He remembered when his Di asked him to take Khushi for shopping on her dresses and jewelrys for pre ritual wedding, wedding and post ritual wedding; he clearly told his Di that was not needed and Khushi would get her dresses on function day and he arranging her wardrobe. Now he knew he was right on his decision; she was looking stunning in his design. He couldn't help but stare at her eyeing her up and down intensely. He noticed many of his guy cousins, friends and business associates kept giving her admiring looks; if only he had a machine gun.

Madhu brought Khushi on the small stage and made her stand next to Arnav.
Khushi " Thank you Arnav ji "
Arnav " Thank you for what ? " raising his right eyebrow
Khushi " For not inviting media "
When their engagement day was fixed, Khushi requested Arnav not to media as she was not ready to face media. Arnav agreed with her and decided to invite media on their reception. He had made sure that no media was invited and a couple of his calls to the commissioner solved this problem; also he made sure even guests not allowed to bring in cameras and had been told to refrain from taking any photos on their phones. Only one trustable professional photographer was present to take the snaps of this occasion.
Arnav " You are to be my better half so it's my responsibility to respect your decision " smiled at her
They shared an eye lock which was broken by Anjali.
Anjali "Friends and family, if someone would have told me a month ago I would be standing here today and giving this speech at my brother's engagement party, I would have probably smiled at the person. I always wanted someone who would understand my Chote who would be his strength when he is weak, who would share his sorrows and multiply his happiness, who would be his light at his darkness. Today I can't thank God enough for sending Khushi to my Chote's life. i came to know she is my Chote's soulmate for the first time when I saw her. I just know that they are both meant for each other. Please give your love and blessing for this wonderful couple, Arnav & Khushi "
The whole room erupted in a cacophony of claps and hoots. Khushi's eyes became moist; she was too much overwhelmed by hearing Anjali's emotional speech. Arnav gave her a side hug to calm her nerve and it did work as an amazing smile appeared on Khushi's face. Madhu placed a white gold men's ring on Khushi's palm and Anjali gave a big solitaire diamond ring to Arnav.
The entire room suddenly seemed to fade away; there was no one; as if only both Arnav and Khushi existed, both lost in each other's eyes. Khushi felt shivers down her spine as Arnav gently held her hand and slipped the ring into her petite ring finger. He felt his body puff up proudly seeing a beautiful smile lit up her entire face. Arnav extend his left hand and Khushi slowly put the ring in his finger. He clasped her hand in his and lifted it up to place a kiss across her knuckles earning ooohs and aaahs around. Khushi couldn't look up due to shyness while his mouth curl up in satisfaction.
First Nani, Mama and Mami blessed the couple; then Anjali, Akash, Aman and Madhu congratulated them and tease them; Guptas fakely congratulated them. Arnav and Khushi were smiling and greeting who congratulating them for their engagement. He couldn't help but smirked as he heard the guests commenting how good they looking with each other.
Arnav introduced Khushi with his business associates as his finance. Khushi was having hard time controlling her breathing, as Arnav was moving holding her by her waist but what he did not realise was that he was slightly caressing her waist while holding her; giving goose bumps all over her body. Payal was fuming seeing this. She spent hours in parlor and wore a reveling lehenga just to catch attention from ASR but since the time he had come here his eyes only on Khushi. She was totally pissed off by this. She quickly took a glass of scotch from a passing waiter and gulped in one go; continued gulping scotch in anger and jealousy. When Guptas noticed Payal going out of control, they took their leave from Raizadas.
Finally after two hours everything was done. It was the time Khushi have to leave with Aman and Madhu as she was going to live with them until marriage. Arnav did not want Khushi got upset by Guptas and not enjoying the marriage so he asked her live with Aman and Madhu until marriage. For this he gave families excuse as media. Guptas less cared about Khushi and Raizadas too happy with Arnav's marriage so they easily agreed. Khushi touched Nani, Mami and Mama's feet and hugged Anjali; left from there with Aman and Madhu.
